A poorly teenager will be the inspiration for the Bradford Bulls to play their socks off in the Grand Final on Saturday.

Captain Robbie Paul said 17-year-old Charlotte Knott, who is waiting for a heart and lung transplant, had showed the kind of courage that his team must reward with a win against St Helens.

Charlotte was invited to Odsal to meet the squad and is pictured with players, clockwise from left, Scott Naylor Daniel Gartner, Michael Withers, Richard Moore and Robbie Paul. She will travel to Old Trafford, Manchester, to support the team.

The former Luvabulls cheerleader met her favourite player Robbie Paul who signed his autograph and chatted to her before pushing her wheelchair back to the car.

"It is very important that we get a win for Charlotte," said Robbie. "The fact someone in her condition is coming to support us makes the Grand Final a bit special for the Bradford Bulls.

"Hopefully everything will go well for her and it won't be too long before she is back running about on the pitch cheerleading."

Charlotte, of Crawford Avenue, Odsal, has a rare heart condition called primary pulmonary hypertension and needs oxygen 24-hours a day to help her breathe.
