It was a case of Drive Another Day when James Bond-mad luxury car lovers dropped in at a Bradford Cinema.

Aston Martin owners from across the country were invited to an exclusive screening of the new 007 movie Die Another Day yesterday when Bradford-based prestige car dealers JCT 600 bought out an entire theatre for its high-rolling customers.

More than 200 Aston Martin owners attended the Northern premiere of the Bond blockbuster at the Odeon, Thornbury, to catch a glimpse of Pierce Brosnan putting the latest Aston Martin, pictured, through its paces.

And to mark the event the dealership delivered an Aston Martin Vanquish, the same model the secret agent drives in his latest explosive adventure, to the cinema doors.

The £163,000 car, which can do 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds and up to 190 miles per hour, belongs to an anonymous JCT 600 customers and even bears the number plate J 007 - itself costing a whopping £45,000!

JCT 600 Aston Martin sales manager Sam Hall said he was delighted to treat his loyal customers to a sneak peak at the movie, which officially opened today.

Mr Hall, who attended the London royal premiere with Pierce Brosnan on Monday, said it was great news for Aston Martin to be back as Bond's number one motor after the MI6 agent plumped for a BMW in his last adventure.

He said: "It's great stuff, it's like the return of the prodigal son! When it appeared on the screen at the premiere there were whoops of delight coming from the audience.

"We thought it would be nice to get our customers down to the new Bond film to see the car in all its glory. We've had to hire out a large cinema because the response has been absolutely massive."

Mr Hall said there were a lot more Aston Martin owners in the region than many people realised and definitely more than enough to fill a cinema.

He said: "There's a lot more than you think. Just because you don't see them on the roads doesn't mean they are not out there. Some are driven around day to day, but not many."

Odeon manager Cliff Baillie, said he loved turning his theatre into a millionaire's playground fit for Bond himself. He said: "We're expecting the film to be massive, it's back to all the Bond favourites - guns, gadgets and girls and the return of the Aston Martin is just the cherry on top. I'm sure the Aston owners loved it."

In the movie Bond's car is dubbed the Vanish because of a super new camouflage gadget that makes it almost invisible to enemy eyes. It also features the usual gallery of rockets, machine guns and ejector seats.

"I don't think the invisibility gadget is too far fetched, you have to move with the times and keep updating it," said Mr Hall. "Maybe we should have it fitted as standard in all our Astons!"
