Long Lee Primary School is celebrating after being awarded the prestigious Investors in People certificate. The national accreditation has come following a rigorous assessment period, which entailed an examination of systems and procedures and interviews with a cross section of people involved with school.
The report stated: "The school is fast gaining a reputation for being a good place to be for both children and staff."
Referring to the schools reorganisation and accompanying move to the former Swire Smith Middle School, the report also noted that despite the fact that "staff in the school have been through tremendous upheaval and change in the past few years.......in the assessors' opinion the atmosphere and culture in the school is second to none".
