An IT solutions supplier is helping a disabled sports association hit the net in style.

Bradford-based Systemnet is designing and hosting the website for the Bradford Sports & Recreation Association for People with Disabilities (BSRAPD).

The firm, which was set up three years ago, hopes the move will raise the profile of the organisation which organises sporting and social events for more than 400 people across the city.

Jonathan Grice, managing director of the Thornton Road company, said: "We are pleased to be helping out with such a positive group and hope that our website will allow BSRAPD to raise its profile across the area."

Pauline Montgomery, chairman of Shipley-based BSRAPD, added: "We welcome the involvement of Systemnet and the technological advice and support it can offer sport in Bradford.

"This new website will enable peo-ple in the city who feel isolated to interact with BSRAPD and maybe get involved as well as giving the organisation a profile on world map."

Five BSRAPD members are set to represent Great Britain in next summer's World Special Olympics in Dublin.

Ten pin bowler Graeme Cunningham, swimmer Heidi Karaba and powerlifters Simon Waggett, Helen Burton and Andrew Hurst have been selected for the event. Systemnet has a 15-strong workforce.

The firm, which sponsors the Bradford Bulldogs ice hockey team, provides of IT solutions to clients such as Yorkshire Water.
