Cowling reached the semi-final of the Keighley FA Cup with a 6-4 victory over Silsden Athletic in an all-action game.

They didn't click into gear until Athletic had taken a 1-0 lead, but the goal stirred them into action and they replied with two from Ben Brown.

Poor marking allowed Silsden to equalise and as the game reached fever pitch Martyn Dalby put Cowling back in front after a sweet one-on-one finish.

Silsden drew level again with an action-replay of their first goal.

In the second half Silsden came out determined to take the tie but Dalby got his second against the run of play. Silsden were gifted yet another equaliser before conceding a penalty which completed Ben Brown's hat-trick.

Late in the game Cowling captain, Liam Marsh, scored the final goal.

n Keighley Phoenix are still searching for their first points in the County Amateur League after crashing to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Hemsworth MW. Chris Smith and Gareth Atkinson scored for Phoenix.

Silsden Reserves pulled off a 1-0 derby victory over Shamrocks Reserves, thanks to the only goal of the game from Andy Nelson.

Steeton Reserves were beaten 2-1 by Hemsworth Reserves with Aaron Hollindrake on target for the Cobbydale side.

n Cross Hills drew 1-1 at home to Bolton side Stoneclough in Division Two of the West Lancs League.

n Third placed Oakworth Juniors failed to make up ground on the leaders of Division Two B in the Bradford Sunday Alliance. They went down 6-2 to Allerton with J Kershaw and J Brady on target for Oakworth.
