College students are competing to become Yorkshire's top young portrait photographer in a contest organised by a Shipley firm.
Award-winning portrait studio Venture in Shipley is launching Venture's Yorkshire Student Portrait Photographer of the Year award.
Photography students from three colleges are taking part - Bradford College, Batley School of Art and Design and Leeds College of Art and Design.
They will be judged on their use of composition, style and design.
The top prize is photographic equipment and printing vouchers worth £500 while two runners-up will enjoy prizes worth £250 each. Prizes have been supplied by Venture together with Kirkstall-based photographic equipment suppliers Leeds Photovisual and Kodak.
