A Keighley park recently labelled a no-go area will be transformed when 46-piece combo Hot Aire swings into town next month to raise winter temperatures.

The concert, which has been arranged by the Lund Park Community Group, is on Saturday, December 7 at 6.30pm.

Lund Park will be transformed into a blaze of Christmas lights, music and stalls selling hot chestnuts, jacket potatoes and hot and cold drinks.

The group hopes to involve the whole community in the event and is approaching other organisations including the Bangladeshi Community Association and the school to encourage participation. Group member Paul Anderson said: "We hope that this will be a real community event. The idea was to get people from the community into the park and enjoy some music in there.''

The group has already received a boost from Keighley Town Council and Bradford's Community Chest who have each donated £350.
