West Bowling's euphoria at having drawn Batley Bulldogs at home in the third round of the TXU Energi Challenge Cup will have to be put firmly on the back burner when they face old rivals East Leeds at Bankfoot tomorrow in the National Conference League Premier Division.

The visitors have proved to be Bowling's bogey side in recent seasons and were the first to lower their colours in this campaign when they won 31-15 on home soil.

However, the Leeds outfit are bottom of the division after gaining promotion along with Glen Barraclough's men last term.

And they are desperate to lose the tag of being a 'one-man band' now that play-making stand off Phil Hasty has returned to the professional ranks at Hunslet Hawks.

Barraclough is blessed with an abundance of talent tomorrow with only the first team in action and wingman Lee Innes, centre Paul Gardner and prop forward Richard Greenwood are drafted into the squad that won last week's Challenge Cup tie at Birkenshaw.

Stand off Peter Simpson is doubtful with a hand injury so highly promising teenager Domenic Brambani is on stand-by for that important role.

The Pennine League fixtures are curtailed due to it being the Saturday before Christmas but Victoria Rangers are in action at Newlands when they meet Siddal in a delayed second- round tie in the President's Cup.

The Vics fancy their chances of causing an upset against the Premier division leaders bearing in mind that they knocked out another Premier side - Park Amateurs - in the previous round.

Vics' only concern is a shoulder injury sustained by free- scoring wingman Kieran McDermott, who will have a fitness test prior to the match.

Fellow wingman Carl Williams is added to the squad and the match official is former Grade One international referee Fred Lindop.
