Youngsters at a Bingley school are launching their own radio station today.
A group of 17 pupils at Beckfoot School have set up Psychedelic Sounds, thought to be the first radio station at a Bradford school. It was the idea of Year Nine pupil Megan Taffs.
The launch is featuring appearances by Bradford City star Wayne Jacobs and Sally Walsh, sister of Girls Aloud member Kimberley, and a former Beckfoot School pupil.
A synthetic ice rink is also being installed in the school's main hall during the event, running from 5pm to 9pm.
Galaxy 105 DJ Jo-Jo is also set to make an appearance to congratulate the pupils on their efforts.
Head teacher David Horn thought the idea was so imaginative he granted £2,000 from the school's funds towards its development. A range of radio software was purchased with the funding.
The station will initially run on Friday lunchtimes and will broadcast to pupils through the public hall speakers.
Tickets for the launch costs £2.50 for those who want to skate. Admission is 50p for spectators only.
Proceeds raised on the night will be put towards the development of the station and a pupil trip to Malawi in Africa, planned for 2004.
