A request for single-sex swimming at Bradford University's sports centre pool may contravene the Sex Discrimination Act if implemented. This fear was expressed by Mr David Pope, president of the Students' Union, who has been approached by a number of Muslim men asking for a time to be set aside when only women are allowed in the pool.
