"We're happy when we sing,
Like dickie-birds on t'wing,
Aye, we are, Ha-Ha-Ha,
Aye, by gum, we are.
We doan't care if it snaws,
We're Yorkshire lads, tha

Aye, we are, Ha-Ha-Ha,
Aye, by gum, we are.
At fooitball an' cricket we
can laik an' we can feight,
On Ilkla Moor wi t'lasses we
can tell 'em t'tale all reight.
We're happy when we sing,
Like dickie-birds on t'wing,
Aye, we are, Ha-Ha-Ha,
Aye, by gum, we are an' all!"
