Bank Top 26 Cowling 18 - After having beaten Bank Top at home by one point Cowling were looking to complete a double, but it was not to be.
The South Craven side led 18-12 at the break but could not contain Bank Top down the slope despite periods of heroic defence. Outstanding for Cowling were try scorers Tom Booker, Darren Greenwood and man of the match Anthony Blair. Dave Needham scored three goals.
The top moment of the game came when Jimmy Anson and Tom Booker combined to produce a crunching try stopping tackle.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Cowling are at Cougar Park for their game against Halifax Irish A. the match kicks off at 2.30 and the bat opens at 2pm.
