Pupils from Wilsden Primary School learned how to eat with chopsticks when the school's two reception classes spent the day immersed in Chinese culture to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
As well as eating Chinese food, the youngsters tried Chinese writing, cookery and making fans and lanterns.
Melanie Britton, class teacher, said the event was organised to give the children the chance to learn about different cultures.
She said: "None of the children would normally celebrate Chinese New Year so they have learned about a new festival and found out how it is celebrated."
