Hunslet Hawks star Danny Fearon today admitted taking on the Bulls will be a frightening experience.

The former Keighley Cougars loose forward expects a bruising encounter when his side take on the might of the Bulls in Sunday's Challenge Cup fifth-round tie at Headingley.

Fearon, who starred in the shock victory over Huddersfield Giants in the previous round, knows taking on the former world club champions will be a huge task.

"It is quite frightening when you think about," said Fearon, who played against Bradford in 1999 when a Halifax player.

"They are quite a scary team to take on for someone like us. They have 16 stone players down the middle and 17 stone ones out wide.

"I don't know who I am going to run at."

The Bulls, who crossed for 11 tries when they beat Hunslet 62-10 in their last Challenge Cup meeting six years ago, are expected to romp to an easy victory this weekend.

Some Hunslet fans at Sunday's Arriva Trains Cup tie against Keighley, which they won 16-4, were predicting a 60-point hammering, but Fearon is not interested in those sort of predictions.

"We are going to go out there and enjoy ourselves," said the 23-year-old, who was given some practice for this week's clash with some rough treatment in the game against the Cougars.

"Everyone is excited about the game and we can't wait to get out on to the pitch at Headingley and take on the Bulls.

"This will be the biggest game a lot of the lads have ever played in and we want to make the most of it.

"We are not going to let ourselves be disgraced."

It is understood that Fearon and former junior rugby team-mate Stuart Fielden do not get on, which could make his afternoon at Headingley all the more interesting.

But the Hawks man is keen to play down any ill-feeling between the two men.

"I know Stuart from when we were younger and I have nothing but respect for him and what he has achieved," said Fearon.

"At the moment he is the best prop in the world. No, I don't have a problem with him."
