Chairman Gordon Gibb hailed City's win at Coventry as their "most professional" performance he has seen.

Now he wants them to show it was no one-off by beating Walsall in similar fashion at home on Saturday.

City go into the weekend clash one place and two points above the visitors, who failed to gain ground last night when they went down 1-0 to Stoke. Former Bantam Lee Mills hit the goal.

Walsall will be another key game in the scramble to get clear of relegation trouble and Gibb hopes for more of the same spirit shown at Highfield Road.

He said: "The Walsall game is massive. I know it's a clich but this is a real six pointer.

"But we can take a lot of confidence from winning at Coventry, where I thought we were terrific. It was frustrating as hell to lose to Brighton the week before but the team responded in a very professional way."

City remain in no hurry to find a new youth team chief.

Gibb is looking for an extra pair of hands to ease the workload on Chris Dowhan and youth development officer Jon Pepper. Applications are coming in but interviews have not yet begun.

Gibb said: "Work is still in progress but there are no set ideas. CVs are still arriving although it is not something we are going to rush on.

"We want to ensure we make the proper appointment at the right time."

He aims to make more progress with Lombards next Wednesday when the club's largest creditor come north for further talks.

Following Burnley's FA Cup win over Fulham last night, City will now play Crystal Palace at home on Saturday week.
