CELEBRITY Christine Hamilton dropped in on Guiseley to open a children's nursery.

Mrs Hamilton, who was accompanied by her husband, former MP Neil Hamilton, talked to children, parents and staff at the new Princess Christian Nursery in Park Road.

Families queued outside the door to catch a glimpse of the Hamiltons - currently staring in television comedy The Harry Hill Show.

Mrs Hamilton, who recently spent a week in the jungle in television's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, said: "It is my great pleasure to be here. It is a tremendous credit to the local community that Princess Christian has decided to come here - it means it's a thriving area. I wish I was nought to five so I could come here and play every day."

Paul Jones, marketing manager for Princess Christian Nurseries, said: "We had a great turnout on the day for this new nursery, more than we had anticipated.

"We were delighted when Christine accepted our invitation to perform the opening ceremony. She was a real star on the day and spent ages chatting to staff, parents and children. I think it turned out to be a lot more fun than her life in the jungle."

Parents of potential children at the nursery were shown around the purpose built premises while children were entertained.

It is the 24th Princess Christian Nursery to open in the country. Around 35 new jobs have been created.
