Pannal Ash U-8s 4, Ilkley Yellows U-8s 0

Two quirkily conceded goals in the fading moments of the match put a flattering gloss on the result in favour of Pannal Ash who are currently rampant in the top echelons of the league and scarcely needed such a bias to imbue confidence in the side.

Ilkley toiled and battled in a disciplined and rigid defensive formation to eke out a draw but were also caught cold twice in the first-half with scrappy goals.

Ryan Burnhill again commanded the penalty box with razor sharp reflexes and a series of outstanding saves.

James Bullock's tackling was immaculate and wiped out much of the threat on the right side whilst Fabian Trouille patrolled the left side with determination.

The midfield axis of Joe Padgett and Sam Daffern gelled well together, threading passes together and linking the play intelligently with the energetic sweeper William Atkins.

This as they tried to release Dylan O'Connor on one of his jinking assaults on goal.

Ilkley emerge from this fixture with much credit and can anticipate their next visits to North Yorkshire for the forthcoming games against Harrogate with great optimism.

Ilkley's Men-of-the-Match were Ryan Burnhill and James Bullock.
