Keeper Jamie Holmshaw believes Park Avenue are capable of keeping another clean sheet when they head into Wales tomorrow.

Bradford make the long trip to take on relegation candidates Colwyn Bay as they look to continue their recent run of good form.

Trevor Storton's men moved back up to fifth place in the UniBond Premier after their 1-0 victory at Burscough on Tuesday, their second win and second clean sheet on the bounce.

After Simon Collins had put the visitors ahead in the tenth minute, Holmshaw was called into action time and time again to keep out the home side, who were desperate for the points.

"I think it would be fair to say that was my best game for the club" said Holmshaw, who has taken over the number one jersey since the departure of Lutz Pfannenstiel to New Zealand.

"Every so often you just have one of those games where everything goes right for you and that is what it was like against Burscough.

"We have been defending better the last couple of games and the lads can take a lot of confidence from games where we don't concede.

"In the last couple of games we have been playing as well as we have for a while and there is no reason why we can't take that on against Colwyn Bay.

"It wouldn't surprise me if we were to get another win and another clean sheet down in Wales, but that is the aim."

Hopefully Holmshaw will be taking the team coach for the long journey down to north Wales. He attempted to find Burscough on his own and admitted to getting very lost and only luck and a mystery short-cut through St Helens got him to the game on time.

Another player hoping for a smooth journey on Saturday is Robbie Painter. The attacking midfielder suffered a car breakdown on Tuesday and missed the trip to Lancashire altogether, causing Storton to re-arrange his formation and call up his assistant Ian Thompson on to the bench.

And with Jason Maxwell and James Stansfield both still out with ankle injuries, Storton will want Painter in again to help his side continue their run.

"I think we might be turning a corner," said Storton, who admits his side suffered heavily after losing five games early in the year due to postponements and floodlight failure.

"On a decent playing surface we can knock it about well. A few lads are starting to get their confidence back now and it shows."

Midfielder David Donaldson, returning to the club for a second spell, impressed on his debut on Tuesday and is expected to feature in the centre of midfield once again tomorrow.
