A well 25ft deep with 7ft of water at the bottom was discovered under the kitchen floor at the Bentley's Arms, Great Horton Road, Bradford, during alterations. The landlord, Mr Tom Cooper, was formerly at the Lister's Arms, Manchester Road, where a similar well was discovered during alterations after Mr Cooper had left.
