Silsden blasted to victory over Campions as they step up their charge for the league championship.

They were 4-0 up at half time on their way to a 6-1 victory.

Mick Ward slotted two goals and further trikes were added by Mick Rhodes, Jimmy Hedges, Martin Maude and Andy Holden.

The win leaves them just two points behind Brighouse Town with both clubs having played 16 games.

Steeton faltered in their chase for the Divison One title when they slipped to a 2-1 defeat by fifth placed Ardsley Celtic.

Celtic were 1-0 up at half time and although Adam Whiteoak pulled one back for Steeton after the break they could not find the second goal to at least sneak a share of the points.

Keighley Shamrocks continued to move up the table after pulling off a 3-1 victory over Heckmondwike Town. They were 1-0 down at the break but bounced back with a three second half goals.

Howard Wellwood slotted from the penalty spot after goals from Martin Ross and Adam Fradley had put them in the driving seat.

Keighley Shamrocks Reserves hit a hot goal-scoring streak to beat Ovenden 4-1. Goals were scored by Andy Burns, Dave Nelson, Scott Nelson and Jack Kershaw.

Silsden Reserves were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Hemsworth Miners Welfare. Bob Pearson was on target for the Cobbydale team.
