I REALLY thought poor Paul Moses was losing it when he kept harping on about 'us' reaching the Cup final at Cardiff.

I patted him gently on the head and reminded him 'we' were no longer in the cup.

"No," said Mossy. "The Clarets will be in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup when they beat Fulham on Wednesday night."

Burnley did the business and their low-cost team beat the multi-million pound outfit 3-0. It shows what you can do with a bit of hard work and a lot of enthusiasm.

Now Mossy reckons Stan Ternant will be the next England manager -- and Burnley will get to the final.

Up the Clarets, Mossy!

FOLLOWING another frustrating weekend on the pitch we have some good news to report. Chris Hannah and Lee Kelly have become proud fathers again over the last week.

Lucy May Hannah and Ciaran (pronounced Kerran) Kelly are the new arrivals in the Cougar camp.

I understand they are both absolutely gorgeous -- and obviously get their looks from their mothers.

The lads are having a 'few halfs' on Saturday night and apparently Chris and Lee are buying!

Good health to Lucy May and Ciaran.

I must admit the enforced break this weekend is now a welcome one. We have several players carrying the usual early season knocks, besides the ones who are sidelined.

Our physio Jamie 'Harry Potter' Bell has been working overtime in the treatment room.

We had a trip to the Bowling Alley after training this week. Style, speed, agility were all in evidence (on the other lanes of course) but the lads did their best.

Karl Smith and Rammy turned out to be Top Cats on the night. Oliver Wilkes set off well, but then went off the rails, but then Olly does tend to tread a fine line!

Danny Ekis, Phil Stephenson and Lee Kelly just didn't seem to grasp the finer points of tenpin bowling. With the game almost over Lee admitted he had just realised the object was to knock the pins over, and not miss them.

Statements like that give people the wrong impression about front rowers Lee!
