Skipton LMS hopes of carrying off the Premier Division title in the Craven & District Football League almost certainly hinge on their ability to win at table-topping Oxenhope Recreation tomorrow.
Despite their obvious wealth of talent, LMS have lost three matches this season, whereas the Worth Valley side are unbeaten in 14 starts and have only leaked points via a couple of draws.
As a result, Oxenhope have a 14-point lead over LMS, who have three matches in hand, but a defeat tomorrow would almost certainly extinguish the Skipton side's hopes of taking the title.
Even an LMS victory would not oust the Bronte side from the driving seat, but it would exert the kind of pressure that might bring a lapse. It would also sharpen the LMS focus as they bid to close the gap.
Tomorrow's programme includes:
Devonshire Carpets Premier Division Cup, quarter-final: Cross Hills v Bronte Wanderers.
Premier Division: Grassington Un v Cononley Sp, Grindleton v Carleton, Keighley Lifts v Skipton Bulldogs, Oxenhope Rec v Skipton LMS.
