Police are looking for two teenagers suspected of attempting to steal from an 88-year-old householder.
Detectives say the elderly man was kept occupied by one man on his doorstep in Bradford Road, Shipley, while the other searched the house on Friday.
They then drove off in a silver-coloured Renault Laguna registration number N252 PJF. Officers are still investigating whether anything was stolen.
The suspects were described as white and aged 18 or 19. One of them had a strong Irish accent and was wearing a grey Adidas shirt. Anyone with information on the car or the incident should phone police on 01535 617083.
