Jamie Peacock wants his pals back to help put the Bulls on course for double glory.

The Challenge Cup winners have dropped down a gear in recent weeks but Peacock believes they can get back in business when their injuries clear up.

Bradford have had to cope without Stuart Fielden and Mick Withers for several weeks and Paul Anderson has also missed two of the last three games with an arm injury - and Peacock thinks their return could kick-start the ailing Bulls.

"We are missing Stu, Mick and Baloo (Anderson)," said Peacock, pictured, one player whose form has not dipped in recent weeks despite two home defeats.

"All three are world-class players and the sooner they come back the better. Losing players of their ability does not help your season.

"We have been pretty unlucky with injuries this season and I think it has hit us hard recently.

"We have a tough month coming up and we could do with everyone back."

Peacock himself was missing for six weeks earlier in the season with a broken hand and has come back stronger and hungrier than ever - something he expects to see when the others return.

"Coming back mid-season could be ideal for them to push through and peak towards the end of the campaign when we need them," he added.

"Being injured has helped my season because once I got back I was feeling fresh. This will probably apply to the other lads when they come back too."

But Peacock's wish is unlikely to come true in time for tomorrow's visit of St Helens, who will be looking to inflict an unprecedented third successive home defeat on the Bulls.

Despite floundering outside the play-offs, Saints remain Bradford's bogey team and a high-impact encounter is on the cards.

Saints coach Ian Millward will be without skipper Chris Joynt (broken nose) but will have fit-again Kieron Cunningham available after he missed the beginning of the season with an elbow injury.

l For the first time this season, Brian Noble's men have been knocked off top spot in the eyes of the bookmakers, with table-topping Leeds taking over as the odds-on favourites.
