Volunteers are being called upon to take part in a litter pick in Crossflatts.
The clean-up has been organised by Crossflatts Village Society with support from Shipley Area Committee and Bradford Council Cleansing Services.
The event will take place on Saturday (June 28) from 10.30am, starting at Dave's Village Bakery, Bradford Road, Crossflatts.
Gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided.
The village society is also appealing for new members of all ages. The group, which was set up in March, has 30 members and would like to encourage others to join.
The group has already presented a petition to Bradford Council aimed at saving land off Sty Lane in Micklethwaite, near Bingley, from a housing development.
The society has also organised a social event at the Ryshworth Club, Keighley Road, Bingley on Friday, July 11, from 8pm.
Anyone who is interested in joining the society is invited to attend. Membership costs £1 per person. For information about the clean-up ring Shipley area co-ordinator's office on (01274) 437146.
