Keeping mum are Beaver Scouts from Cross Roads.
They staged a 20-minute sponsored silence, which raised £100 for the children's leukaemia charity Candlelighters.
A group spokesman said: "The colony has held similar events in the past, and the children really get into the spirit of things."
