Adventurous pupils from Guard House Primary School tackled a range of activities during a trip to Scotland.
Thirty year four children spent three days at the Galloway Sailing Centre, where they took part in pursuits such as canoeing, big-wall climbing, archery and quad biking.
The visit was partly funded by the Cinderella Club of Bradford and a clothes sale at the school, plus parental contributions.
Teacher Carrie Hastings, who organised the trip, said: "The children really excelled themselves and tackled everything with enthusiasm. Their self-confidence has increased so much because they have seen how much they can achieve in a challenging environment."
This weekend, 45 youngsters from years five and six are taking part in a residential trip to the Blencathra outdoor centre, near Keswick. The visit -- which is being supported by the Government Children's Fund -- will include fell walking, climbing, water sports and environmental investigations.
