The quiet atmosphere of a Worth Valley village was broken by the sound of grand prix cars.

But instead of Michael Schumacher and the full entourage, Haworth was home to the running of a model grand prix event last Friday, as part of Keighley Festival.

Races were run in the electric 1/10 saloon, electric off-road buggies and Mardave V12 classes, at the Community Centre, Butt Lane. Trophies were presented to the winner in each class.

The event was organised by Haworth Radio Controlled Car Club.

Organisers said: "The event went very well. It tended to be the same people who turned out but the finals were keenly contested."
