All four third round Wynn Cup ties saw first division clubs taking on second divison opposition -- but their were no shock results.

Favourites Oakworth travelled to Gargrave for what looked like the miss-match of the season. Gargrave, languishing at the foot of division two against a side second in the first division. Thankfully for Gargrave they got to bat first and managed to reach 84. Graham Rankin taking 6-12. The Cure Hill side lost four wickets reaching their target.

Bradley entertained Ingrow St John's and had to work hard to get their reward. The Saints batted first with skipper and opener Colin Bottomley Bottomley carrying his bat for a splendid 100no. Last man Weston added 12 for the last wicket to allow the skipper his moment of glory. Anthony Haigh chipped in with 41. Neil Robinson took 4-37 and John Duffy 3-64. The home side opened with 63 for the first wicket with Alistair Harrison scoring 32. Milbourn scored 25 and Robinson 26 before Craig Tempest joined Neil Andrews and the pair took their side to a seven-wicket triumph, with 5.1 overs to spare. Andrews was 90no at the end.

Cowling were at home to Foulridge and blasted 247-4. Steve Mitchell made 77no, K Korde 52 and Simon Spencer, back after injury, 39no. The Noyna side managed 159 in reply with Phil Swarbrick scoring 56 as Chris Hoyle took 4-42 and Martin Rishton 3-7.

The Red Rose derby between Barrowford and Pendle Forest saw the Bull Holme side make 237 without losing a wicket. The batsmen in splendid form were Liam Roberts, who made a maiden century of 132no and Neil Hargreaves who finished on 92no. The Fence innings was never on target and closed on 158, with S Ellis top scoring with 26 as David Hartley took 3-25.

The semi-finals see Oakworth v Barrowford and Cowling v Bradley, with the grounds to be announced later.

The third round of the Cowling Cup takes place on Sunday: Embsay v Cullingworth, Oakworth v Glusburn, Skipton CI v Thornton and Pendle Forest v Airedale.
