Skipton stayed on the promotion trail and Tasmanian teenager Rob Dilger stayed among the runs when the Sandylands men despatched neighbours Addingham without much ado on Saturday at Sandylands.

The home side eventually won by 81 runs and stayed in joint leadership with Colton and on track for an early return to the middle section.

Dilger took his total for the season past the 500-run mark when he added another 61 to his impressive total, good supporting work from Steve Carling and Kevin Owens helping Skipton to a winning position.

Addingham were set a target of 220 to win, but were pinned down by some economical Skipton bowling.

They were finally bowled out for 138 to leave the Sandylands men with more crucial points in the bag and the gap between themselves and one of their chief rivals significantly wider.

Upper Wharfedale probably felt that they were robbed by the weather when they emerged with only a point from a rain-hit draw at home to Pool Mills.

Jason Agars was the hero of the Wharfedale innings with a splendid knock of 110, good support coming from opener David Whitfield (41), James Hastings-Trew (17) and Tom Baines (21 no) as the home side reached 214-8 in their overs.

With David Daggett producing a tasty 4-47 spell from 17 overs, the Dalesmen were always holding the whip-hand, but with rain denying the opposition two overs, the sides had to be content with one point each.

Steeton must have fancied their chances of moving up the table when they posted a 237 total against Adel, Jonathan Smith again among the runs with 68. Adel, however, had the batting power they needed to get home with five wickets in hand.

Silsden also posted a reasonable total when they reached 175-9 at Calverley, but the home side reached their target for the loss of seven wickets.
