Cowboys and cowgirls rode into Holy Family School to celebrate the end of the school year.

The parent teacher association (PTA) posse rounded up parents and pupils for the annual family fun night at the Keighley school for a wild west dance.

Revellers were treated to a variety of entertainment throughout the evening with the main attraction being a rodeo with a mechanical bucking bronco.

The Arizona Rangers put on a wild cowboy show with lassoing and rope tricks. Their wild west camp gave party-goers the chance to try their own hand at the skills.

Line dancing team the Silver Star Stompers put on a display and gave lessons.

The event raised £1,400 towards the PTA fund, which is raising money for various causes, including a new chapel and sending children away to America.

Event co-ordinator John Cunliffe said: "We have had about five events this year, but this was the main event of the year.

"Everything went excellently and we really caught the imagination of the children with the entertainment and raffle prizes, which included a half-hour flight sponsored by Multiflight and a mobile phone. It was the biggest turnout of children we have ever had -- we were quite pleased with that."
