nLove will be in the air when Heartbreak Productions brings two of Shakespeare's most popular comedies to Halifax's historic Piece Hall.

The company is staging the raucous comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor on August 13 and the enchanting A Midsummer Night's Dream on August 15 in the historic building's courtyard.

Merry Wives is a comedy about wooing and seducing the opposite sex, which casts political correctness to the wind.

Heartbreak is giving A Midsummer Night's Dream a contemporary spin by ditching the quaint yokels and replacing them with a band of up-to-date traders.

Tickets for each show are £8.50 in advance (£6.50 for concessions) and £14.50 (£10.50 for concessions) for both of the outdoor productions, available from the Piece Hall Art Gallery on 01422 358300.
