Keighley missed a glorious chance to keep up their promotion fight when they slipp-ed to defeat at the hands of fellow battlers, Bankfoot.
Now this weekend's derby clash with Bradford and Bingley is the most important game of the season. Victory will put them right back in the hunt for a place in the top flight, but a defeat will cost them almost all hope of reaching the second promotion place.
Captain Mark Beckett led the Keighley batting attack with 35 runs, but they just did not get enough runs on the board to give the bowlers a realistic chance against the second palced club.
However, they had the home club sweating as they slumped to 31-3 before a middle-order stand saw them to a five-wicket victory.
This weekend's game is at Bradford and Bingley's ground and should attract a big crowd.
