Andrew Dalby, Steeton's strike bowler from Western Australia, kept his side's Division A survival hopes flickering in the Aire-Wharfe League.

It was vital for Steeton to take maximum points off bottom-of-the-table Collingham and they were victorious by 46 runs, Dalby returning personal best figures for the season of seven for 47.

Neil Spragg also played a big part in Steeton's success, falling just ten runs short of his century.

After three successive defeats in league and cup, Bilton roared back to form with a 5-1 winning draw against Follifoot, topping the 300 runs mark for the second time this season.

Steve Phillips hit a century off 91 balls and Danny Shuffe made an undefeated half-century in Bilton's innings of 305 for seven.

Chris Newton struck an undefeated 81 and Matthew Yates was also unbeaten with 33 after Follifoot had lost their first five wickets for 90.

Second-placed Menston's hopes of catching Bilton were dealt a blow by Otley who won by five wickets with 2.4 overs to spare.

Sam Smith gathered 13 fours and two sixes in a match-winning 103. Earlier, David Lester (89 not out) and Grant Bell (50) helped Menston total 226 all out.

Guiseley continue to struggle in the league despite their heroics in cup cricket. They had to settle for a losing draw at home to North Leeds despite sound batting by Mark Ross, who made 89, and his brother Simon (39).

Jamie Pickering and Chris Cay had a second-wicket partnership of 179 in Green Lane's winning draw against Adel.

Pickering was caught at mid-off by John Francas on 99, while Cay made 84.

Just two points now separate the bottom four clubs in the Division B relegation dogfight. Silsden remain back markers despite a winning draw against Bardsey who are fourth-from-bottom.

Matt Shuttleworth picked up five wickets for Silsden who had Bardsey in deep trouble at 65 for five before they recovered to 162 for eight in reply to the Silsden total of 172 for seven.

One point above Silsden are Thackley and Harden. Ilkley should have won at Thackley but Leon Harbor was dropped off the final ball with the home side's last pair at the wicket, 21 runs behind.

Rawdon recorded a 5-1 winning draw against Harden and are still looking a good bet to gain promotion with leaders Kirkstall.

Jamie Davey was left undefeated four runs short of his ton, Bruce Percy made 66 and Davey and Stow shared an unbroken fourth-wicket stand of 141.

Kirkstall, meanwhile, were four-wicket winners at third-placed Burley with just three balls to spare.

Half-centuries from Steve Wood and Mark McEneaney guided Pool to a winning draw at Calverley for whom Andy Alred hit a personal best for the season of 93.

Ben Rhydding moved out of the bottom two in Division C by toppling high-flying Colton and doing leaders Skipton a favour.

Colton were hustled out for 103, Andrew Winterbottom taking five for 27, and Ben Rhydding went on to win by nine wickets.

Bottom-of-the-table Pool Mills were no match for Skipton, losing by seven wickets.
