A Top of the Schools quiz night was won by a team from Beckfoot School, Bingley.
The event to mark Excellence in Cities week was hosted by Grange Technology College. Teams from local secondary schools had to consist of two members of staff and two pupils.
The University Challenge-type tournament was won by Beckfoot's team, made up of Maths teacher Des Fell, learning mentor Kim Rose and Year 10 pupils Laura Maude and Jasmine Willoughby. They won £100 to be spent on a school project.
Bev Ford, of Beckfoot, said: "We are very proud of the team."
A team from Immanuel CE College, Thackley, was second.
