Milford 16 Cougar Cats 26 - With a depleted team, Keighley played Milford who opened the scoring from a break at the half way line, crossing for a converted try.

Leanne Ludlum's early exit from the game due to injury left Keighley with 10 players but they replied with a try from Laura Ackroyd.

A series of questionable decisions led to another try and conversion to Milford, before Ackroyd was sent to the sin-bin for ten minutes.

Keighley were now down to nine players but fought hard with Angie Pickard at the fore. Tough attacking play from key players, especially Sarah Shillito, kept Milford out of the Keighley line and the score remained 12-4.

When Ackroyd returned she produced a delicate kick on the fifth tackle and a mistake by Milford, who failed to kick the ball dead, enabled Gemma Liddon to score in the corner, with Ackroyd adding the kick.

Half time brought an uphill battle with good defensive work from Laura Moore and Sarah Cartwright keeping the home side out. The Keighley side kept a cool head under pressure and they were rewarded with a good passage of open rugby. Ackroyd's positional kick was smartly collected by Pickard and passed back to Ackroyd who scored a try and added the extra points.

A quickly taken tap penalty saw Ackroyd charge through Milford's defence with ease to deliver a tremendous solo try and kick.

Keighley kept the ball alive in the closing minutes and a good pass from Liddon gave Ackroyd her fourth try and a personal total of 22 points.
