Keighley -- the final frontier!
As part of Keighley College's Constructive Partnership scheme, four Russians, including a cosmonaut, will visit the town on Sunday, December 14.
All four work for the Russian space centre, at Korolev, near Moscow.
The four-day stay will include a civic reception with the Lord Mayor at Bradford City Hall and lectures on space to local youngsters.
Confirmed this week, the trip is funded by Yorkshire Forward and follows a visit to the Moscow International Space Olympics by Guides, Scouts and other space enthusiasts. A Keighley College party of 21 tourists filmed the Space Olympics in September, with a view to entering themselves next year.
Returning to the former Soviet republic on December 18, the explorers will have time to go sightseeing throughout West Yorkshire.
