THOUSANDS of people are expected to flock to Otley tomorrow for the annual Victorian Fayre.
After the cancellation of last year's event, because of the threatened firefighters' strike, organisers hope this year's event will be bigger and better than ever before.
School children dressed in Victorian costume will entertain shoppers with carol singing and office and shop workers will get into the spirit by dressing up and giving out mince pies and mulled wine.
Street organs, live bands and dancers will fill the streets and there will also be children's fairground rides and market stalls.
The event will kick off at 9.30am and at 4pm roads in the town centre will be closed to allow market stands and crowds to overflow into the streets.
Roads to be closed from 4pm to 10pm are Kirkgate, Market Place and Market Street; Boroughgate to Crossgate junction; Clapgate to Bridge Street junction, Westgate to Beech Hill.
The town centre will be closed to all through traffic throughout the fayre with diversions in place.
Car parks are at Burras Lane, Walkergate, Beech Hill, Courthouse Street, Cattle Market Street and at Station Top.
Coaches will be able to park in the Wharfedale Farmers Auction Mart, East Chevin Road.
