Bocking 1 Keighley Athletic 3 - Athletic completed their eleventh league win on the trot with a workmanlike performance against fellow title-challengers Bocking.

An excellent defensive display from Stewart Nicholson and Mick Goodwin meant the Bocking attack rarely threatened and once Steve Kernan and Dave Ellis had put Athletic into a 2-0 half-time lead, there was only going to be one winner.

Adam Burns went on to add a third after the break following a superb move involving Tom Whitwham and Gareth Peace. Bocking went on to grab a consolation goal through Joe Blacka with virtually the last-kick of the game following a Bob Morrisroe clanger.

Cavendish 2

The match between Albert and Cavendish was an evenly fought contest with both teams finding it difficult to find the net.

It wasn't until the game had just five minutes to go, and looked like ending in a 0-0 draw, that Cavendish were able to break the deadlock with a goal from Franco. With two minutes to go they added a second through Keith Spence, to ensure they collected all three points.

Wilsden 1

Man of the match Gary Hughes inspired a convincing win for Long Lee with a superb hat-trick.

First half goals from Luke Argall and Hughes secured a 2-0 lead at the break but Wilsden pulled one back early in the second half.

Long Lee then took control of the game with Hughes scoring twice in quick succession. Lee Fickes wrapped it up with a superb volley for the final goal.

Varieties continued thier rampage at the top of the table with a glut of goals against Silsden. They gave warning of what was to come with two early strikes and fgolled up with five more goals to make it 7-0 at the break.

Silsden battled hard int he second half, but conceded two more goals before they finally got on the scoresheet with a well taken goal from Paul Tennant. Variety added another three to their score with Silsden managing a late consolation goal, again from Tennant.
