COUGARS are kicking off their drive to attract fans back to the club next week -- with a chance to meet the coach and directors.

The 'Fans Forum' sessionon Monday evening will give the directors and coaching staff a chance to spell out their plans for the 2004 season.

"We also want the fans to give us their ideas and make any constructive criticism," said chairman Neil Spencer.

The forum meeting will be followed on Thursday by one of the highlight's of the club's social year, when the Players Presentation Evening will be held in the clubhouse.

During the evening their will be a string of presentations to the players who helped win promotion to National League One, including the top award, the Supporters' Club 'Player of the Year Award.'

Mr Spencer said: "The presentation night has always been one of the highlights of the year for the club, the fans and the players.

"There was plenty to shout about last season and we hope to have a packed crowd in the clubhouse for this year's presentations, it is a chnace for everyone to socialise with the players, coaches, directors and staff."

Work has begun on a £50,000 ground safety project which will include a new first aid room which is being built in part of the car park close to the club offices.

The club has also been in talks with a number of potential sponsors for the coming season.

"Nothing is finalised at the moment, but out success last season has certainly generated a lot more interest. Businessmen have been able to look at the work we have done, and the work we are continuing to do both on the field and in the community," Mr Spencer said.

The Fans Forum and the Presentation Night are to take place in the Cougar Park clubhouse, with both events starting at 8pm.
