Children at a Keighley school will come face to face with jungle animals each day.

Clare Hughes, an artist-in-residence, has been working with pupils at Our Lady of Victories Primary School on a textile project.

The pupils each made their own square with an animal and jungle background. The paintings have been joined to form one montage, which has been put up in the school hall.

The animals include baboons, snakes, birds and bats.

It is the second year that Clare has worked with the school on the project, which involved fabric painting and dying, screen printing and block printing.

Last year's subject was fish and the result can be seen in the school entrance.

"Like last year it has been fantastic. This year's theme is the jungle so they are more colourful than last year when they looked fairly similar," she said.
