Bronte 5 Intake 0 - Bronte were determined to make up for their poor performance against Intake a couple of weeks ago and were hoping their keeper wasn't in quite as good form.

Bronte should have gone 1-0 up after ten minutes but for a good low save which immediately brought back unpleasant memories!

Defending up the slope Bronte looked exceptionally solid at the back and as the half progressed the visitor's midfield began to take control of the game.

Unfortunately the final ball was often overhit and few chances were created. Luckily for Bronte an opening came when Danny Blakesley found himself on the end of a poor defensive clearance attempt and he nonchalantly slotted home low and wide of the keeper to see the visitors go in to half time a goal up.

The second half was largely one way traffic with Bronte's midfield playing some exciting one touch football. A double save from Intake's keeper fell to Blakesley's feet after a tight cross from Simon Thompson and the big centre forward made no mistake. Shortly afterwards Blakesley deservedly got his hat-trick and Intake were well and truly out of the game. Simon Thompson found the back of the net twice in the last ten minutes to increase his increase his goal tally for the season and Bronte ran out comfortable and confident winners.

Next week sees a League Cup 1/4 final at home against Cononley who have been putting together some good performances lately and a good game is anticipated.
