The clash at Apperley Bridge between the two sides chasing Holme Wood Athletic in the Premier Division finished all square.

Roy Stammer put Albion Sports in front halfway through the first half with Fairweather Green's Greg Watts levelling in the 55th minute.

Taj Singh restored Albion's lead ten minutes later but Albion couldn't build on it and Fairweather got a deserved point when centre half Peter Pilgrim, up with the attack, gained an equaliser.

Leaders Holme Wood Athletic failed to take advantage of Albion and Fairweather Green's draw, going down 3-0 to fourth-placed Queensbury.

The home side's plan of stifling Holme Wood's midfield and equalling their work rate proved the key to victory.

Young Dave Nelson made it nine goals from nine starts and when Holme Wood did create goal chances, keeper Aaron Bryan proved equal to the task.

Derek Rouse got the winning goal for the third week running as Bolton Woods beat East Bowling Unity 1-0 to stay in touch with the leaders.

There were welcome points for Calverley Victoria, playing their first game of the 2004, who moved out of the bottom three with a 2-0 win at Queens Athletic.

James Hall found the Queens' defence all at sea in the 20th minute, having time to slot home the opening goal.

The same player set up the second for Ian Adams.

With East Bowling Unity and Pudsey's game at Crown postponed, Oakenshaw moved up two places to sixth with a 4-1 win over East Ward, who with only one point from 14 games look certain to start next season in Division One.

The clash of the day in Division One saw West Bowling draw 2-2 at leaders Wibsey WMC.

Bowling led twice through Chris Wood with Wibsey hitting back through Craig Brierley and Steve Tillotson.

While other teams drop points around them, title favourites Stanley Road kept another clean sheet in their 6-0 success over Waggoners to take their winning run to eight games.

A goal down to Westwood inside two minutes, Dudley Hill Rangers seized the initiative through Floyd Phillips on 20 minutes and Jason Kershaw a minute later.

Jamie McEwan completed a hat-trick in the second half as Rangers ran out

6-2 winners.

Bradford Moor, needing points to move out of the bottom four, went down 4-1 to Chellow, whose four-goal second half included three in four minutes.

Clayton Orient's mini revival ended with a 3-0 defeat at home to Wyke Wanderers.

In Division 1A, a topsy-turvy derby at Victoria Rangers saw the home side drop points to struggling Move It Removals.

A goal up, then 2-1 and 3-2 down, Move It earned their draw when the ball went in direct from a corner.

Move It's draw didn't effect the two sides immediately above them, Quarry and Baildon Trinity also both gaining a point in a 1-1 draw.

Queensbridge United piled more pressure on leaders QCs, despite trailing 3-1 to St Pat's after just 15 minutes.

The St Pat's defence cracked in the last quarter with Haroon Ashfaq completing a hat-trick in a 6-4 win.

White Eagles lost ground in the Division 1B promotion race and slipped out of the top two with a 3-1 defeat to Dudley Hill Rangers Reserves.

Eagles took the lead through Martin Dolan but were sunk on the counter attack as goals from Chris Bottomley (2) and Paul Fawcett saw Rangers take the points.

Bottom side Ventus looked set to produce the result of the day when they had leaders Ring O'Bells on the rack at 3-0 with 70 minutes gone.

Things went pear-shaped, however, and Bells devastated the home side with six goals in the last 20 minutes.

Back with Fairweather Green Junction after a spell at Queens Athletic, Paul Noble marked his return to the club with a double strike as Junction came from a 2-1 half-time deficit to beat Wibsey WMC Reserves 3-2.

Needing to win to stay in touch with the top three, Skylark led Albion Sports Reserves twice through Phil Clapham and later Paul Binns before being edged out 3-2.

A strong second-half performance saw Buttershaw White Star come away with the points at Royal Clayton.

A goal down to a Luke Ellis penalty, Buttershaw drew level with an own goal before running the show in the second period to win 6-1.
