Liversedge 4 Lincoln Moorlands 1
Liversedge got a much-needed boost when they reached the quarter-finals of the Northern Counties East League Cup with a comfortable win over Lincoln Moorlands.
The lower division visitors came from a goal down to turn round level but Sedge's quality surfaced in the second half.
Despite a 15-minute delay due to floodlight problems, they got off to great start and took a fourth-minute lead. Chris Walton nodded Asif Hussain's through ball on before lashing in a shot from the edge of the area.
Lincoln equalised midway through the first half through Dean Dye after home keeper Kyle Sutcliffe had parried a shot from Peter Shelley.
Sedge missed chances either side of the break but persisted.
Skipper Paul Stevenson side-footed the second after James Nestor had headed back a half-cleared corner.
Nestor marked his return from a dislocated collarbone with a goal from the corner of the six-yard box, and Craig Farrand wrapped up the win with a 25-yard free-kick low into the corner.
