Watching red-hot St Helens lift the Powergen Challenge Cup has provided all the motivation the Bulls need, says coach Brian Noble.

"It has motivated me. I hated going down to Cardiff and watching other people lift the cup," said Noble.

"It was a reminder that everybody in Super League is coming to knock us off.

"Hopefully St Helens will have taken a bit of pressure off in that respect because now they are the team to beat."

Saints have made no secret of their desire to emulate the Bulls' historic treble but Noble isn't concerned they are now the favourites to lift the Super League title.

"It is for us and others to stop them. They are playing hot at the moment. They are the best team in the competition on current form but we are pretty good at staying the course throughout the year. We'll see what happens at the end of the year."

And Noble admitted his side already has half an eye on their visit to Knowsley Road on Saturday week.

"They'll be looking forward to playing us as well.

"They have had the Indian sign over us in big games but if we stay healthy on Sunday we will build some momentum towards that match and then Leeds the week after."

l The Bulls senior academy side will look to kick on from last week's thrilling 12-man victory over Castleford when they take on Widnes tonight (7.30) at Odsal.

l Bradford University is to take on York St Johns in a charity match to raise money for Alzheimers sufferers. Organised by the Riverview Nursing Home in Ilkley, the match is to be played on Wednesday, June 9 at the Yarnbury rugby union club (kick-off 7.00pm). Admission is £3.
