Burley top Division B of the Airedale and Wharfedale League following their sparkling nine wickets win at Skipton on Saturday.

Skipper Richard Harrison did the damage as Skipton were dismissed for 122. He took a superb 6-23 off 15 overs and was well supported by Nick Brook with 3-46 off 13 overs.

Only Andrew Facey with an unbeaten 4 showed any resistance to the rampant Burley bowling attack.

After losing Richard Brook for five Burley set about the task of winning the game in quick style. Australian Ben Harris with an unbeaten 79 and M Harrison with an unbeaten 29 shared an unbroken second wicket stand of 112 to bring victory in 24 overs.

Tong Park are in second place after their 129 runs win over visitors Silsden.

Nick Murden's side ammassed 231-6 with G Wilkinson in superb form. He cracked 2 sixes and 14 fours in an unbeaten 101 from the number seven spot. He and Brendan Ryan (39) shared a sixth wicket stand of 99.

Silsden were then put out for 102 as I Jackson produced 6-67 off 19.2 overs.

He was well supported by Mick Scott with a miserly 1-26 off 13 overs and Chander Sheikar with 2-5 off seven overs, five of which were maidens.

Ilkley are in third spot six points behind the leaders.They gained a 38 runs win over their visitors Knaresborough.

It was back down to earth for ten wicket man Mike Baxendall. He took just one Ilkley wicket at a cost of 32 runs.

Ilkley lost a couple of early wickets but then Craig Rackham produced an excellent knock of 98 as Ilkley moved on to 210-9. Young Andrew Rhodes gave late support with 23 from the number eight spot.

Ilkley bowled steadily to grind Knaresborough out for 172, skipper Chris Quaife taking the plaudits with a 5-35 return off 13 overs.

Steeton were 115 runs victors over Illingworth after stacking up 223-6.

Their middle order shone with J Best making an unbeaten 58, G Boulton 37 and J Akrigg 33.

Illingworth lost wickets at regular intervals and were dismissed for 108 with five of their batsmen falling lbw.

Lee Spragg was Steeton's best bowler finishing with 5-21 off 8.3 overs, four of which were maidens.

Pool had to be content with two points from a drawn game with Calverley who made a superb 270-7. They were 28-2 at one stage but a magnificent 134 from M Hirst saw them to a score that was out of reach of Pool.

Despite Phil Dibb's 79 from the opening spot Pool were unable to keep up with the run rate. Although Mark McEneaney hit a valuable 76 they were eventually restricted to 212-7.
