Drighlington consolidated their position in the top half of the Division Two table on Sunday with an emphatic victory at struggling Yeadon.

Spinner Andy Measey heaped more misery on last season's Division One side, who are desperately hoping to avoid finishing in the bottom two when a vote will be held to determine who will be axed from the Bradford League.

At present it looks like a scrap between Hartshead Moor, Great Horton and Yeadon, although there are a clutch of teams hovering above them who are not not of danger.

Spin wizard Measey obviously enjoyed the soggy conditions - he took five for 34 as Drighlington dismissed the home team for 89.

The match had been reduced to 27 overs-per-side and Drighling-ton were dismissed for 126 - in the 27th over.

None of the Drighling-ton batsmen took control as overseas signing Naheem Khan (five for 50) and Chris Henry (four for 57) made life difficult. Yeadon looked to be on course at 52 for two but then wickets started to tumble.

Drighlington's overseas player Mohtash-im Ali also grabbed five wickets.

Salts' worrying decline in form continued at home when they were beaten by Lightcliffe. In the rain-affected match, Salts batted first and scored 94 with overseas player Mohammed Niazi top-scoring with 34.

Lightcliffe lost Bruce Lunn at two but the side recovered with Lee Smith hitting 39.

Bradford & Bingley got six points closer to Division One with a victory at Keighley. In a game reduced to 28 overs-a-side, the home side scored 112 for nine, Kiwi paceman Wade Corn-elius taking four for 48. Bingley knock-ed off the runs without losing a wicket, Chris Wheeler top-scoring with 64.

In the only other game to beat the weather, Windhill acquired their second point of the weekend with a losing draw at Morley.

Morley scored 126 for seven in their 27 overs, Darren Drake taking four for 65.

Simon Curry stood firm scoring 47 in Windhill's reply of 100 for eight but a middle-order collapse didn't help their cause..

The other matches - Bowling Old Lane v Manningham Mills, Esholt v Brighouse, and Great Horton v Hartshead Moor - were abandoned. Each side gained one point.
