Menston gained a vital win over relegation rivals Hall Park on Saturday on a day when fellow relegation prospects Rawdon gained a winning draw at Otley.

Hall Park were restricted to173-9 as Martin Knowles took 3-43 off 15 overs and the Taylor's Rob and Richard bagged a couple of wickets each.

Jamie Simpson aided a Park recovery after they lost both openers cheaply. He hit 44 to become his side's top scorer with Kenrick Marshall batting at number 7 providing the only other innings of note for Park with 40.

Menston knocked off the runs for the loss of five wickets with David Lester finding some of his old form with a superb knock of 74 not out which included 13 fours.

He shared a productive stand with Nick Fitzpatrick, who made 41, as Menston recorded only their second win of the season.

Young Danny Forrest picked up two wickets for Park at a cost of 26 runs but without Bob Hodson Park were unable to make inroads into the Menston innings and they now flounder at the bottom of the table.

Rawdon claimed a vital four points at Otley after a magnificent 136 from Bruce Percy whose innnings included 5 sixes and 15 fours. Rawdon totalled 222-6 with Graham Dobson having given them a solid start with a knock of 32 before being run out.

Only Robert Atkinson was able to slow the Rawdon onslaught with a 3-46 return off 15 overs.

Otley made a brave effort in reply led by their skipper Sam Smith. He smote a fine 60 as Otley replied with 202-7 to take two points from the draw.

Other good contributions were made by Michael Smith with 47, Robert Atkinson with 27, Matt O'Grady with 23 and David Taylor with 22 not out.

Leaders Bilton extended their lead to eight points with a nine wickets win over North Leeds. A superb spell of bowling from Guy Saxton, who took 6-31off 16 overs, saw North Leeds put out for 100.

Despite losing Miles Corish without scoring Bilton marched to victory with Lloyd Mash making 49 not out and Toby Drummond 43 not out.

Green Lane stuck to their task to bowl out Follifoot 16 runs short of their target with Rohan Obst returning a superb 6-38. He was well supported by Barry McCormick with 3-28 as Lane held their nerve.

They had been dismissed for just 104 with Ben Waterman taking 5-28 off 14 overs and D Moss-Blundell 4-38 off 14 overs. Their first three batsmen failed to score but then Chris Cay produced a vital 21.

Guiseley had the better of a drawn game with Beckwithshaw whose last pair hung on for three overs to share the spoils.

Guiseley, in a game reduced to 42 overs a side, made 154-8 with opener Simon Ross again showing top form with 44. Ian Chaplin made a good contribution of 34 and Steve Dickinson batted well for 27.

The Guiseley attack was shorn of Marcus Brown, Peter Graham and Chris Wain but Andrew Paley used his experience to pick up 4-60 off 21 overs keeping one end tight and setting the tone for youngsters Sam Wilkinson and Joe Davies (2-26).

Dickinson chipped in with 2-20.

Kirkstall continue to pick up points in the top division and they bagged five from a drawn game with Adel. M Hall (68) and A Siddall (83 no) shared a second wicket stand of 79.

Adel then replied with 142-8 struggling against the bowling of Colin Dettmer (3-33 off ten overs) and Neil Walmsley (2-36 off 16 overs).
