Silsden held out with a stubborn last partnerhsip to deny Steeton maximum points from their 'derby' clash last weekend.

After losing thre early wickets John Akrigg and Neil Spragg forged an impressive partnership. Akrigg scored 46 and Spragg reached 48 as they pushed the total on to 107.

Oliver Gledhill took up the cause scoring 42 and was joined by Alex Haworth (15 not out) to take the total to 183-5.

Andy Pullen was the pick of the Silsden bowlers, taking 4-81.

Silsden lost the wickets of Chris Meehan and Lee Bilbrough with the score on 11, but Andy Waggett (51) and Neil Robinson (21) took the score to 74 before the third wicket fell. After the recovery they suffered a disastrous collapse.

Daniel Senior (23) and last man Chris Walker saw out the final overs to rescue a point.

Phil Hardwick took five wickets for 50 runs in a 13-over spell.
