If first impressions matter most, Iestyn Harris is going to have a fruitful career at the Bulls.

Coach Brain Noble is delighted at the seamless way the former Rhinos favourite and Wales rugby union star has slotted into his squad.

"It is a reflection on what a quality person Iestyn is," said Noble.

"He's fitted in and played his part and it has been refreshing. We've been heaping a lot of bad news on the boys with injuries throughout the year so Iestyn coming in has given us a real lift."

Harris hasn't played any form of rugby for seven weeks due to a knee injury but he feels he is getting rapidly up to speed at his new club.

"I've had a good week's solid fitness now and I'm not as far behind as I first thought so hopefully if I keep working hard then I'll be up there pretty quickly," said Harris.

"There is a lot to learn and it is difficult when you join a new club to get to grips with everything. I seem to be getting a little bit better each session so hopefully in a couple of weeks' time I should be okay."

Harris has been named in the squad and looks likely to start from the bench on Sunday but he isn't concerned about being thrown in at the deep end after just ten days at the club.

"Whatever happens I will do my best. Obviously it is going to be a big change but I am really looking forward to it."
